The Surgeflex is a mobile and battery powered fault locating system that has been designed for stand-alone operation. It will provide it’s full surge energy for up to 1.5 hours nonstop. With 15 kV or 25 kV output voltage this system is well suited for fault locating in both low and medium voltage distribution networks.

Prelocation of high resistance faults can be achieved using the powerful ARM (Arc reflection method). Low resistance faults can be located using the Teleflex SX, without having to use high voltage methods.

The Teleflex SX shows the far end of cable and fault distance in the “ARM mode”. Even inexperienced operators can easily locate faults using the “step-by-step easy mode”. The “Expert mode” provides free access to all parameters available for more comprehensive fault location even in the case of difficult conditions.

1150 Joules of surge energy provide the required power for accurately pinpointing cable faults with the acoustic method. With its weatherproof housing and big wheels the Surgeflex 15 and 25 is appropriate for easy operation in the field. Connecting cables are conveniently accessible at the rear of the unit.
